My flight landed at JFK 5:45 a.m. It was 20 degrees. I gave up on being frugal and took a cab home, if anything the extra hour of sleep I would be able to get before having to go to work would be worth it. M came home two hours after me and I was still in bed. Miraculously I was not that late for work.
People at work were happy today, we’ve finished most of the work for the huge event happening in about two weeks, and it kind of felt like being in the eye of the hurricane. Next week will be even better I think. Downtimes are good times.
One of the main colors for one of our main events next year is an almost fluorescent orange PMS 1655 C, which, I am finding, will be nearly impossible to reproduce in conventional CMYK. Got my first taste of this nightmare today and it will not be fun. The printers will all hate me and I will have to get three rounds of proofs for everything, I just know it.
Once home, I made a feeble attempt at unpacking my suitcase and then fell asleep on the couch to some reality show.
