For the second time this year, it is Friday the 13th. One more to go. We had a second holiday packaging presentation today, I had been dreading it all week after the focus group comments that surfaced in the last one. Surprisingly, it went remarkably well. They loved all our ideas and had a hard time choosing between them. Of course they did not pick my favorite, but we may be able to meet the deadline for licensees to actually be able to implement the holiday packaging this year.
I went to the gym and did a quick half hour on the elliptical before heading home to the boys. They were having a ball playing a video game where the character was a skateboarder and the objective was to fall of a ramp and hurt yourself as much as possible. I try to relate.
We had planned to make pizza and bought some ready-made whole wheat dough. I made B help me spread the ketchup (in lieu of tomato sauce), he got some on his hands and proceeded to run around the apartment pretending to be injured.
Before dinner he knocked over a glass over wine that spilled all over the table (missing a laptop by a few inches), important papers on the floor and a homemade pillow. Then, as we sat down to eat, he said the pizza tasted like yucky mush and refused to eat it. So much for making kids emotionally involved in the cooking.
