For the past few years, when the awards ceremony and luncheon was hosted by the former First Lady, Laura Bush, they have been quite solemn affairs. Some designers even chose to boycott the 2006 luncheon, because of their belief that the current administration of George W. Bush has used the mass communication of words and images in ways that have seriously harmed the political discourse in America
Yellow represents positivity, it’s happy and fresh and will never go unnoticed. “The color yellow exemplifies the warmth and nurturing quality of the sun, properties we as humans are naturally drawn to for reassurance,” explains Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.
