The start of a new year is a perfect opportunity to take a moment to reassess our situation and make sure we’re heading in the direction we want. According to the Mayan calendar, we have entered a new World Age — an exciting time to be alive according to many ancient cultures. We should move through this time with heightened awareness of our actions, peacefulness and humility. The transition offers us a chance to reconsider our approach to the future and, thus, contribute to making it brighter and happier.
I would like to propose that we all commit to approaching life with a positive mindset. Even the most challenging situation becomes just a little bit easier to handle when we try to look at it from the bright side. ‘Choose Happiness‘ is one of those old aphorisms that we’ve all heard, but that doesn’t make it any less true. We choose how we move through life.
Goodlifer started a little over four years ago, with the intention of bringing good news and stories to our readers. In the past year, the idea of “good news” seems to have hit a tipping point, and nothing could make us happier or more excited about the future. So here’s to a bright new 2013 — may it be your best, happiest year ever.
